Sugar industry is one of the most important agro industries in India as well as in world. The major problem, which these industries struggling with, is the decolorization of sugar, as the raw sugar is being colored in nature, the presence of which rejects any chance of commercial uses of the sugar. A large number of techniques have been employed for the similar purpose. Here, in this book a number of techniques and processes are presented.

Athar is doing MPhil/Phd in Chemical Sciences, Central University of Gujarat, India and has recieved M.Sc (Applied Chemistry) degree with gold medal from B.B.A Central University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in 2013. He is born in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. His major research interest are computational chemistry, nanomedicines and sugar effluents.
