M.O. Grenby is Professor of Eighteenth-Century Studies in the School of English at Newcastle University, UK. He has published extensively on the British response to the French Revolution, the political novel and the early history of children's books.
John Newbery is celebrated as the first successful publisher of children's books, and the founder of modern children's literature.
